Adding new PCs to the DAA network
Remote desktop onto DAA proxy server 54.72.54.68.
Then from there remote dektop onto Dubadserver 10.90.1.10.
Right click on "DHCP to Text" icon on the desktop and run as administrator.
This will create a document on C:\ called "dhcp"
Open this and search for MAC address of new PC.
If found, this should give you an IP address of the new PC. Remote desktop onto this and set up The proxy settings for LOGMEIN and BROADSIGN.
Proxy details:
Host: dub-proxy.adxba.net
Port: 7000
So, we need to go into broadsign -> Tools ->
Broadsign
Esc out of playing
Operations Menu
Click Options
Click enable proxy
Proxy type: http
hostname: dub-proxy.adxba.net
port: 7000
username and password to be left blank
Click OK
Then run diags to confirm
Logmein:
Open the management window
Click Options
Click preferences
Go to advanced Tab
in proxy server set address as dub-proxy.adxba.net
and port as 7000
leave username and password blank.
Click ok
Use the power button in the top left of the logmein window to turn the service off, and then back on.
Logmein should show connected.
Make sure you reboot.
If you are remote and need to get onto the PC without the proxy being configured:
Logmein into DUBADSSERVER
Login as adxba and usual
Open DHCP (its on the start bar and start menu)
[The DHCP area can be a bit confusing as dublin have for some reason got different subnets per switch]
So basically, you need to go to IPv4 -> and then go through each of the scopes
Mac address will be found under the Address leases.
I was using logmein to check the mac against the name for ease.
So once you have found the mac address you want to get online...
You annoyingly have to remote desktop into through the server.
open remote desktop from the taskbar.
You need to login as user and the MAC address (as caps)
Ok .. so we need to come out of broadsign, which is basically a case of hitting ESC alot...
------- SO USE BROADSIGN + LOGMEIN CONFIG STEPS ABOVE
OK, so because we're on a remote desktop, theres no way to get it back to just displaying content.
So we need to reboot it.[annoyingly reboot is missing from the menu...]
So. we need to go to c:\adxba\shutdown.bat [it will reboot within a minute]
